Live your dreams!

…apart from that one about being eaten by a giant spider…that'd be bad…

I want my own Library one day. One that spirals up inside a tower with a beautiful view…and a clear shot at anyone who tries to bother me while I read/write/fuel my caffeine addiction.

As it is for the moment I'll settle for my Book Palace where the laws of physics, space and time have been suspended, and I have learnt the art of building gravity defying book piles. It's sort of like Tetris meets Jenga but with Russian Roulette thrown in if you try to move or extract a support book from the wall.

I'm currently in the midst of writing my first full length Science Fiction novel, and several novellas of varying genres. But when I'm not writing down the lunacy that passes for creative thought in my head, I can be found either editing, continent hopping, reading, crafting or gaming— though not necessarily in any particular order or anywhere near as coherent as all that.

I am what could be termed a Casual PC Gamer (not an anti-console snob, just hopeless with most console controls), but when I find a game I love I'm hardcore with it for life. I rebuilt my Windows 98 computer from the storage pieces to which it had been reduced, when it became apparent that dual CPU was only part of the problem and that Vista compatibility mode was a lie. More so than the Cake

Current favourite Books:
All books by Terry Pratchett; The Lies of Locke Lamora and quite probably all books thereafter by Scott Lynch; Ender's Game and the immediate three two sequels thereafter in the Ender series by Orson Scott Card; The Godfather by Mario Puzo; The Belgariad series by David and Leigh Eddings. And I don't know how I managed to go most of my life so far without ever having read Robert Jordan but it's a mistake I'm making up for now. The list however is endless, so I'm not even going to try.

Current favourite Games:
Thief 1 & 2 & 3 ; Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2 ; Stronghold 2 ; Black and White 1 & 2 ; Nearly all of the entire Might and Magic series ; Hard to be a God ; Dragon Age: Origins

Books I Want:
Snuff by Terry Pratchett ; Republic of Thieves by Scott Lynch ; The complete works of Arkadi and Boris Strugatski ; Johannes Cabal the Necromancer by Jonathan L. Howard

Games I Want:
Star Wars The Old Republic ; Thief 4
